Tracking the Cost of Your Inventory

PeopleVine offers a basic way to track the cost of your inventory in an effort to assist your sales staff on ensuring they can offer the best price available to their customers.  To add the average cost for a product, you need to add it to the inventory.

  • Go to the Product Menu that you want to track this for.
  • Click on Add Inventory (to add new inventory) or the In Stock link (to edit existing inventory costs).
  • Simply enter the "Average Cost" for the inventory you're adding to the system.

The system will now display the "Average Cost" on the product menu in addition it is accessible via the POS system in order to have quick glance on what the lowest cost for the product is.

Please note this is NOT visible to your customers.
