Accept & Process Payments in the PeopleVine Platform

There are several places in the PeopleVine platform where you may need to accept payments from your customers.  These include:

  • eCommerce
  • Recurring Billing & Transactions
  • Events & Ticketing
  • Appointments & Reservations
  • Donations

In order to start accepting payments in these sections, you must activate a default payment processor.  PeopleVine currently supports 4 payment processing providers to enable payments:

  • Authorize.net - you can bring your own merchant provider or connect with one of our partners.
  • Braintree Payments - they are a service of PayPal
    • Visit www.braintreepayments.com to sign up.
    • Braintree Payments supports credit card payments only
    • They are integrated strictly as a processor and no customer data or other info is shared with them.  PeopleVine is the platform to manage all your billing, customers, etc.
    • Follow the steps here once your account is approved.
  • Stripe - you can sign up for Stripe in minutes
    • Visit www.stripe.com to sign up
    • Stripe supports credit card payments only
    • They are integrated strictly as a processor and no customer data or other info is shared with them.  PeopleVine is the platform to manage all your billing, customers, etc.
    • Follow the steps here once your account is live.
  • WePay - we integrated WePay to support split payments.
    • Setup unlimited split payments across the board (e.g. you get 10% and your vendor gets 90%)
    • To setup an account visit WePay.com and then authenticate within PeopleVine Integrated Platforms.
  • PayPal - currently only for eCommerce checkout (you must also have one of the providers enabled too)
    • Follow the steps here to configure PayPal in PeopleVine.

Once you have setup your payment processor, log into the PeopleVine Control Panel >> click on My Account >> Payment Processors and setup your payment processor.  Here you will be able to enable or disable certain payment types as well as ACH if you've enabled it with your provider (ACH only works with Authorize.net).
