Setup an Abandoned Cart Email

Setup a Newsletter to Send when a Cart is Abandoned

Before you setup the campaign, you will need to setup the email that goes out when someone abandons their cart.  

  1. Login to the PeopleVine Control Panel
  2. Go to Connect > Notifications > New Notification Template
  3. Configure, but don't assign to an action.

Once the email is setup, you can now configure the campaign.

Setup the Follow Through Campaign 

  1. Login to the PeopleVine Control Panel
  2. Go to Automate > Campaigns > New Follow Through Campaign
  3. Set the active dates (this can be used for custom emails for promotions, etc.).
  4. Set the trigger to 'After a shopping cart is abandoned.'
  5. Select the wait time and the notification you would like to send to this person (typically a Newsletter to Read).  
  6. Set the wait time to a few hours or more, enough time for them to complete the activity
  7. Assign and you're ready to go.

When they add something to their shopping cart, we will wait the specified time before sending them an abandoned cart email.
